Korea, results of public tender for PV subsidy in the second half of 2017

Last Friday, KNREC announced an open competitive bidding result following a long-term PV solar subsidy contractThis open competitive bidding, which is twice a year, arranges for a 20-years long term contract by fixed price between the suppliers of PV solar power and major electrical power supplier in Korea 



Through 20 years long term contracts, the company will participate in competitive bidding for stable PV solar electricity sales at a fixed price. The most important factor at this time is the sales price offered by salespeople, which accounts for 70% of the total scoreThe remaining 30% will be assessed for other capabilities, such as solar power plant management
The target capacity for this bid was 250MW, of which 150MW, 70% of which was allocated to small-scale solar power plants of less than 100KWh

2,200 solar power plants applied bidding and their total capacity is 751 MWA total of 1,472 photovoltaic power stations were selected for the auction 
Their capacity is 251MW


Their suggested average selling price is KRW 184,595 / MW(USD169.12/MW)  each PV solar power plants that won the bid will conclude a PPA contarct with local electricity power suppliers for 20-yearr long term contract by fixed price
