The world's largest industrial ESS device is installed in Korea

Currently the world's largest ESS facility is a 100MW capacity facility installed
by Tesla in Australia.the operation started on December 1 and was installed in the north of Adelaide,
South Australiathis ESS unit, which is connected with the wind power plant for backup system
to improve the stability of electric power grid
this ESS device is also famous for the so-called 100-day promise of Tesla CEO
Elon Muskunfortunately the honor of the world's No. 1 ESS facility is likely to be lost
if it goes months later


Because Hyundai heavy industry subsidiary Hyundai Electron is installing 150MW
industrial ESS equipment in Ulsan, South Koreathis ESS device,
which is expected to enter the market by early next year, is simply a facility to
reduce electricity costs without regard to solar or wind power generation
In Korea, the electricity charge from midnight to the next morning is quite
low compared to the time of day. therefore, it is the idea to store the electricity
at low price at the early hours
in the ESS device and save the cost by using it at a high price USD 45million
invested and order by Korea Zinc, this ESS facility is expected the test operation
in February next year
Korea Zinc has Zinc’s refinery plant near by Ulsan in Korea
